Post-Publication Corrections
Requests should identify the article, exact error, proposed correction and evidence. The journal distinguishes between errors that affect the scholarly record and minor changes that do not alter meaning.
- Author correction: corrects an author-originated error.
- Publisher correction: corrects a production or metadata error.
- Addendum: adds essential information that does not invalidate the article.
- Expression of concern: alerts readers while a serious matter is unresolved.
Formal notices receive their own permanent page, link to the affected article and state what changed and why. Silent replacement of the version of record is avoided.
